Victoria Secret Bath And Body Works Gucci
Embarrassed while trying to buy lingerie for his wife in a department store, Victoria’s Secret founder Roy Raymond, decided to open a store as a safe haven for men trying to purchase such items. His first store in 1977 had wood paneled walls and a Victorian era feel with a single row of paired sets mounted on the wall. Customers would consult with sales staff as to color and size after which their selections would be pulled from inventory rooms in the back. This concept was successful and more stores followed as well as a mail order service. Raymond sold his six stores and 42 page catalogue business in 1982 and Victoria’s Secret has expanded significantly since then to include more than 1,000 stores worldwide. Starting in 1995 Victoria’s Secret has held annual fashions shows which are broadcast on television featuring top models, or “Angels”, wearing their lingerie and clothing collections. It is usually a light, music and fantasy extravaganza that would feature special performers or acts and where the Victoria Secret “Runway Angels” would sport the company’s trademark wings. Body care products and fragrances are also offered by Victoria Secret which started with a line of botanical themed body care products with their first perfume being introduced in the late 1980s. Popular perfumes include the clean smelling Body, the sensual Breathless, chic Ooh la la, the delicious and seductive Sexual Star. The Dream Angels, Secret Little Things and Very Sexy series have proven to be very popular and are updated with limited editions regularly. At the end of the 19th century, Guccio Gucci worked at exclusive hotels in London and in Paris. Impressed with the luxurious luggage of the guests, Gucci returned to Florence, where he set up shop and produced and sold the type of fine leather goods that he saw during his time abroad. The offerings of the early Gucci store were simple and only included leather items such as luggage, accessories, handbags, and shoes. In time, and based on their popularity among movies stars and jet-set travelers, Gucci products became known worldwide as an international status symbol. As a result, Gucci became a staple of lifestyle magazines around the world. The 1960s and 1970s were good for the family-run business, but the 1980s and 1990s saw the family relinquish ownership of the company. The image of Gucci was revitalized in the 1990s and was brought back to the center of chic, commanding a varied line of products including fashions, accessories, jewelry, perfumes, and colognes. Perfume.com is proud to offer fragrances by Gucci here on our Gucci fragrance page. Though Gucci fragrances and colognes were introduced to the world several decades ago, it was not until their reorganization in the 1990s that the sale of Gucci scents began to take off. The brand offers something for everyone, as it features both Gucci cologne for men and Gucci perfume for women. Bath and Body Works is your go-to place for gifts & goodies that surprise & delight.
